KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL

Stretching the imagination just a little bit, we see how much the Ilokano loves Ilocos. The Ilokano, even with the much "progress" they are experiencing today, will always preserve its heritage and its culture. Wherever he may find himself living anywhere around the world, Ilocos will always be his "home". Kannawidan was first an idea developed in the minds of a group of civic spirited Ilocanos who wanted to promote cultural awareness and preserve the rich historical and cultural heritage of Ilocos. They wanted to rekindle in the youth and future generations the pride of their heritage.
